12 weeks of mindfulness
Mindfulness is the art of cultivating the moment by moment awareness of our mind, body, and emotions, and has been scientifically shown to increase focus and attention, improve sleep, increase emotional regulation, boost the immune system, and increase overall feelings of health and well-being.
In this 12-week introduction to mindfulness class, we will learn about the roots and different types of mindfulness, and discuss benefits and applications of mindfulness in our daily lives. The group will review types of meditation ranging from self-compassion to managing pain, thoughts, and emotions, and will involve weekly home practice suggestions to help you incorporate mindfulness techniques into your daily life.
